The greatest news is that God has accomplished redemption in Jesus Christ. It is a message that God has done what is necessary for our salvation and made us participants in His Kingdom and members in his family. On the cross, Jesus stood in the place of sinners and was condemned instead of us. Because Jesus endured God’s wrath in our place, we receive eternal life and adoption as God’s children, and become God’s people. All who respond to Jesus in repentance and faith receive this blessing and can have full assurance of the hope of God’s promise.
